- Could you tell me WHY you started Even Song?

Just because we love Music and that's the best way to express our feelings. Even Song & music itself are some kind of shelter for us. Shelter from the cold reality.

- Were you involved in other bands before Even Song?

No, we weren't. This is our first serious band.

- Who inspired you to make this music?

Do you mean what bands? I don't really know. Some bands inspired us (early My Dying Bride, Anathema....etc) but I don't think that's why we started to play this kind of music. You know this thing comes from the soul. It is not only a musical style I think ,but a view of life too.

- Is Hungary suitable for a Metalband such as yourselves?

Not really. This style was always an underground here. Actually there aren't many labelspecialized in metal music. So it's very hard to get on for a metalband in Hungary.

- Have you got contact with other Metalbands from your homecountry? (Sear Bliss for example)

We know Sear Bliss but we are not in contact with them. We live on the other side of Hungary. You know there are only a few metalbands in our area. I don't really think that you've ever heard of them.

- Do you think that the fact you live in Hungary contributes to the fact that you're making depressive music?

I don't really think that Hungary and the hungarian living conditions are the facts that we are writing depressive songs. The atmosphere of our music and the place where we live have no concern with each other. Simply that's how we feel.

- How would you describe your music?

Hard question. Some said it is gothic metal, but I'd rather say atmospheric metal filled with strong emotions. I don't feel that we are a gothic metal band just because we use the concept of grunts and female vocals. To tell the truth we haven't ever liked those gothic/dark groups like Fields Of The Nephilim, Sisters Of Mercy ...etc. We were always big Metal fans.

- What do you do besides Even Song? (work, school?)

We all learn.

- What can we expect from you in the future?

We will record our second album somewhen in September and then we will do some gigs in Hungary and maybe abroad too.

- Will you be touring Europe? (especially Holland!!!!)

I hope we will in the near future, but it depends on our label.

- Is Agnes really into Metal?

Oh yes. She's a big metal fan. I would say she's really into Metal.

- What do you listen to besides Metal?

Classical music and folk music. Especially irish folk. And we also like Loreena McKennith, Enya and Vangelis.

- Who is your favourite classic composer?

Bach,Vivaldi & Brahms.
